Price: "The Bells " is a unique Park Complex and is located 14 km east of the city center at the foot of Vitosha Mountain , 500 meters south of the Ring Road . Near it are the Sofia Business Park , a residential complex "Mladost " Simeonovo and village Pancherevo . Park complex " Bells " was first opened in 1979 with the idea of Lyudmila Jivkova in relation to household Bulgaria International Children's Assembly "Banner of Peace" by UNESCO . The main architectural feature of this unique monument are four vertical columns to the height of 37 m oriented to the four cardinal directions and spiral composition of two semi- circles of different levels with bells. Spherical hole is formed in the upper end of the four pillars that embody the world. It spirals are seven bells, symbol of the world's seven continents. They were cast in 1982, bronze by Ivan Kostadinov and a total weight of 12 tons and the largest weighs 3,650 kg . Besides being a symbol , they are designed as an accompanying instrument for musical performances of the main tower consists of 18 smaller bells installed at the foot of the pylon . They are tone set by Dobri Paliev . Around the main monument is a concrete ring with a diameter of 60 meters where there are more than 95 bells of different parties and public organizations. The initiative is designed as a single , but because of the positive international response is determined meetings to be held every 3 years since 1989, the Assembly reached a record , meeting participants from 135 countries . In 1990 , however, closed constructed 18 foreign structures " Banner of Peace" . In 1999 Evgenia Jivkova - daughter Lyudmila Jivkova restores assembly. In front of it is now established park area known as " The Bells" , where many people spend their leisure time . To Bells Park can be reached by bus 413 from Central Station or from Eagle Bridge .
