Route Planinets hut - White Birc...

This is one of the most popular hiking trails in the northern part of Vitosha. It is short ( duration is between half and one hour , depending on the physical condition and emotional attitude of tourists ) , and the total displacement between the lowest and the highest point is almost symbolic (35 meters). Therefore, the transition is a favorite of tourists and inexperienced groups with small children.

Especially suitable destination for the summer heat. Almost all the time going under the thick shade of an old oak forest. Along the route grow many raspberry, blackberry bushes and other berries that are an added attraction for tourists , especially for infants mountain lovers .

The trail runs along a marked and identifiable paths with non-typical Vitosha smooth ascents and descents . Additional facility for tourists is that the exit point of the route , hut " Planinets " ( 1367 m altitude ), can reach an asphalt road from Sofia. It is located in the Svrachara and is surrounded by beautiful meadows that during the warmer months are covered with grasses and herbs , and in winter " sleep " under the thick snow .

Hut "Planinets" the trail turns south, successively crosses several right tributary of the Planinishka and in less than ten minutes splits . If you leave the path, assuming up for new ten minutes you can reach the tourist promenade that connects two of the most visited sites on the territory of Vitosha - Golden Bridges and Kopitoto. The other path leads us to the final point of our route - vacation home " White Birches" .

The only serious difficulty during the transition collapsed bridge over the river Planinishka . It is especially difficult passable during spring and autumn months, when the river has become very deep because of heavy rains . Further obstacle was downed by the storms ancient trees , which further impede movement. However, even a little extreme minded tourists can find here the opportunity to face the primary force of nature.

Soon onto a driveway that connects some of the most famous places in Vitosha - White Water and Golden bridges . Continue on it and after a short ascent route is diverted by a wide promenade along which a minute leads to the vacation home " White Birches " .
