Waterfall "Whitewater"

Waterfall "Whitewater" is located on the River "Stakevska" in northwestern Balkan Mountains near the village Stakevtsi, Belogradchik municipality. Its height is about 15 meters, divided into two waterfalls is situated in beautiful countryside. Designated in 1976 landmark and is included in the longest itinerary in the Western Balkans. In the bed of the river can still be seen several small waterfalls.

The waterfall can be reached very easily - pass through the village on the main road that goes up the village to the mountain. On the road after the village you will see informational signs on the flora and fauna in the area. After about 500 meters up the road you reach a junction where the left side you will see a sign with a white bird on a red background indicating the 'protected area' has white-red markings on the trees. Waterfall itself is located in the valley and you can go down to him on the steep path.

The road is relatively good and careful driving can be reached by car to the place of actual waterfall. Walk from the village to the waterfall is no more than 30-40 minutes away.

Feast of the forest and tourism is held annually in Belogradchik Stakevtsi village. Every year on this day in the village returned from different parts of the country many people to celebrate with their relatives. On the hill above the beautiful waterfall they feature tables. And they are even more enjoyable care groups for authentic folklore. Nice weather, beautiful area and meetings with friends and family always make this holiday an unforgettable experience for residents and guests of the village Stakevtsi. The celebration of the forest and tourism is conducted by the 60s of last century in August.
