This route along the middle course of the Bulgarian section of the Danube is quite long (seventy-seven km), but the effort is definitely worth it as the route passes through many beautiful and pristine areas that can stop your breath. The starting point is an island Chioka, located on Romanian territory, but you can get permission to visit from the border authorities of our northern neighbors.

The island is very picturesque, almost entirely covered with forests and is located close to the northwest of the town of Svishtov. The beauty of the Bulgarian coast a little disturbing, as it is in town, along calling the Imperial Army during the Russo-Turkish War, the views are rather industrial and post-communist. If you wish, however, you can get off the kayaks and make a tour of Svishtov - he has largely maintained revival and some interesting places to see.

The next curiosity route is one of the largest islands on the Bulgarian coast of the Danube - Vardim. It is a preserved nature, turn in hunting and if you go through channels located to the north of it, you can enjoy the beauty in all its glory. The route runs along the beautiful area Stulpishte, where you can relax and eat local specialties in the coastal setting. In a village situated on the banks Vardim is the southernmost point in the entire Danube.

Rowing continues, but do not think that experience is monotone. Before you get to Ruse, our biggest town on the Danube, you will pass by incredibly beautiful places, you will see dozens of species of waterfowl and you will be able to enjoy the silence - so deficient nowadays pleasure.

The trail leads us along the beautiful city whose facade is somewhat spoiled by thoughtless industry made during the communist era. The trail leads us into "Danube Bridge 1", which is really rewarding experience, as we can see in full scale one of the largest infrastructure on the Balkan Peninsula. The last stop is a small, unnamed island, located about two kilometers after the bridge. There are excellent conditions for tensioning a tent and camping. If you are keen fishermen can try their luck. Good luck!
