Cycle route Trigrad - village Ke...

This relatively easy and very pleasant cycle route introduces tourists with much of the natural attractions along the upper reaches of the river Trigradska. The starting point is precisely Trigrad - beautiful village nestled in the folds of the Central Rhodopes, near which are some of the major tourist attractions of the region. If you have time and desire, you can stay overnight in one of the guest houses in the village, to see the beauty in the area, traditional architecture and to get acquainted with local cuisine, one of the most specific in Bulgaria.

From the village the route goes south to the horse base "Trigrad", follows a narrow road, which was passed in the beautiful valley of the River Trigradska. Consistently ignore the exit to the village Vodni pad (right, to the southwest) and Zhrebovo (left, east). After two and a half kilometers leads to the turnoff to the village of Kesten, which is also located east of the main road. If you have the desire and time you can stop him - there you can take a short break and eat something.

If you decide to enter the village, you must go back to its beginning, to continue the route. Thence departing dirt road that takes you to the southeast. Hard to get confused, because he continued to follow the river valley to you out after about a kilometer to the abandoned building (the former border post), where branches.

At this point the route continues to the southeast, the left branch, which is in fact the main road. All the time it is not separated from the main flow of the river Trigradska and after approximate half hour brings you a spacious plateau ridge covered with grass. At the far end to the road you can see the runway border with Greece, extremely heavily guarded on both sides by two decades ago.

The view of the majority of the southern Rhodope is exceptional. Before you reveal the endless sea of ​​mountain ridges both Bulgarian and Greek territory. After you enjoy it (you will not be easy at all), you can return to the starting point Trigrad on the same route.
