Varna House-museum Georgi Velchev

House Museum presents George Velchev and store the work of artist George Velchev / 1981 - 1955 / - innovator in Bulgarian art from 20 - years of the twentieth century and one of the greatest masters of the seascape in our classical paintings. The museum has existed since 1961, when the home of the artist was donated to the city by his brother Vladimir Velchev and his sister Pavlina Velcheva . He has five exhibition hall with a total area of ​​100 square meters and collection of 239 works.

After a long period in which the museum does not work in 1996, it was rebuilt and renovated entirely by the art Rumen Seraphimov . He was curator of the museum from 1995 to 2007, a representative exhibition of 70 paintings and gouache paintings is shaped and exhibited in a new way . For the first time shows works created in France and Germany between 1920 and 1923, which represent the artist in a different light and true as one of the innovators in transient Bulgarian modernism of the early 1920s - years .
