Historical Museum of Velingrad was founded in 1952 It is located in the district of Kamenica, near the church "Holy Trinity". Central site visit there is the home of guerrilla Vela Peeva (1922 - 1944) and almost half a century museum bears her name. The museum has three permanent exhibitions - memorial exhibition "Vela Peeva" ethnographic exhibition "Mount - welcoming home" and exhibition "Easter eggs" - the largest collection in Bulgaria.

Exposure "Vela Peeva" tells the life of Bulgarian guerrilla who died in 1944 as a participant in the resistance against state power and its pro-German policy during World War II. The exposition presents the events before and during World War II. In 1948, the merger of the villages of Kamenica, Ladzhene and Chepino, newly city was named on the partisan - Velingrad.

The latest exhibition of the museum is devoted to opera singer Nicolai Ghiaurov, who was born in Velingrad. The museum is open year-round in the studio writing with wax Easter eggs.

In summer, the museum works every day and rest during the winter months on Sunday. Free day is Thursday. Talk of the Bulgarian costs 4 lv for the group.
