Historical Museum is located in Vratsa Hristo Botev Square 2 in the central part of town. It was founded in 1953 and until the fund is over 100,000 units. There are also works of art belonging to the Art Gallery, which is part of the museum. The museum stores the famous Thracian treasures from Mogilanska mound and Rogozen. Rogozen treasure - the largest Thracian treasure unearthed in the Bulgarian lands is exhibited in a specific way.

The central building of the museum has several exhibitions located in the halls "Prehistory", "Antiquity," "Middle Ages", "Thracian Treasures", "Rogozen Treasure" and Lapidarium. Hall "Prehistory" presents the development and achievements of human societies from ancient times to the Roman era. Roman Bronze diploma and other interesting items you will find in "Antiquity". Hall "Middle Ages" presents the heritage of Vratsa end of this period. In the Hall "Thracian Treasures" are exhibited findings of Mogilanska hill treasures from Moesia and Galiche. The legendary Hristo Botev's detachment is dedicated to "Botev" hall. Not to miss lapidarium - outdoor exposure, which can not fail to impress you.

The museum includes Revival-Ethnographic complex "Nikola Voivodov" and "St. Sophronius of Vratsa. "

The central building is open every day, every Monday and admission is free. Combined ticket for both sites worth BGN 4. Complex "Nikola Voivodov" is currently under construction and does not accept visitors.
