Ski slope Vulchi dol

The only ski slope in northeastern Bulgaria and between Carpathian and Balkan Mountains , is located on the northern slope of the hill "Koshu bair ". We talk about the track "Vulchi dol " , located near the town . It is an attractive place for lovers of snow sports in the area. It is suitable for both beginners and advanced . The track starts at 270 meters above sea level and is 250 meters long . Its width up to 20 meters. Nowadays there is a project to extend it by another 100 meters. If you decide to train your hobby here, rely entirely on ourselves. End of the runway is not working any facility - no cabin or ski equipment . However, there is lift - homemade ! It will take you up to the beginning of the runway not for more than 5 minutes. Since track "Vulchi dol" exists , and since then it has been more than 10 years, its development has stalled . No lights, no parking , let alone snow machines . If you're a fan of wildlife , this place is for you! Vulchi dol rules repeated attempts to obtain funding for the track under EU programs , but for now they remain unsuccessful .

Getting to the track " Vulchi" is not difficult. The town Vulchi dol is located 50 km from the sea capital Varna and 30 km from the town of Dobrich.

Vultchi Dol region is not the richest of cultural and historical landmarks. Their natural resources , however, compensate for this fact. If you need to combine sport with familiarization of a roundabout Bulgarian landmark, pull over to the nearest town of Dobrich. There you will art gallery in the center of the city - will impress the collection of paper , created by artists from all over the world , and the cells . Not to be missed even the zoo , which has more than 100 animals , ethno house architectural and ethnographic complex " Old Dobrich " , the first park in Bulgaria "St. George" , Natural Science Museum, "St. George the Great Martyr " , and finally, but not least in importance , - the largest monument in the country dedicated to the founder of the Bulgarian Country - Asparouh .
