Drama Theatre Nevena Kokanova is housed in a community center Consent in the town of Yambol. The capacity of the hall is 333 seats. The theater was founded in 1870 , and his first troupe was formed in 1927

On January 1, 1952 Yambol theater became the State Theatre . Of Yambol scene have expressed their many famous actors and directors. With the roles of Juliet and Fenis of this scene began her acting career Nevena Kokanova . Since 2001, the theater was named " Nevena Kokanova " which is a Bulgarian actress for many years called " the first lady of Bulgarian cinema ."
