The route is suitable for at least a two-day pass . If the group is inexperienced or poorly trained individuals tourists , it could be divided into three parts ( to the shelter " Botev" / hut "Ray" / back to the hut "Pleven" ) . The transition starts from the hut "Pleven" ( located at 1504 m altitude in the northern foothills of Mount Botev ) and continues to be in the Stara Planina mountain pastures .

Here the path divides and the track is separated left ( southeast ) . After the summer marking the highest peak of the Balkan mountain peak Botev (2,376 m) , the route passes to the east of the river bed of Krivishka and move west of the cliffs below the North Djendem .

The trail crosses the furnace area and then gradually started to climb to the southeast , passing through two rock groove formed by frequent avalanches . Hence it becomes very steep and reaches Kralimarkovski stack area where literally bent over the bed of the Devil's River , overlooking a cave water holes .

It starts here and the final , steepest climb of the first part of the route. To the east rise the sheer cliffs of North Djendem north to stunning views of the river bed of Vasilkovitsa , howling at the bottom of a steep ravine , and in every direction provide spectacular panoramas.

The trail continues its steep climb heaps of wheat and three , turn sharply to the south, exit at the western foot of Mount Botev near shelter " Botev" . The ascent of the Balkan champion lasts about an hour , but now in a more sloping mountain pasture . The views from the proximal to the geographic center of Bulgaria Botev Peak is truly amazing . North Balkan and Danubian plain in the south sub-Balkan and Central Valley forest and with high visibility and the Rhodopes. West and east long line of mountain tops ...

From the top year-round trail continues to drift south , at the foot , and "flows " in the so-called "Tarzan trail" that descends in a giddy way on the rocky cliffs of the South Djendem , reaching located below the highest waterfall in the Balkans ( Praskaloto 124.5 m ) hut "Ray" . It is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the Balkan Mountains.

The route to return to the hut " Pleven " leads to the west , following the marking hut "Levski" . After a few miles the trail reaches the dilapidated old dairy , where it deviates to the right (north) and then a steep climb in and out of the ridge. Hence continues east for shelter " Botev" where did the west path leads to the hut "Pleven".
