Blagoevgrad is located in the valley of the Struma River and through it runs a small river Bistrica. Located at 360 meters altitude in the so-called Blagoevgrad valley between the Pirin, Rila and Vlahina. Nearby are our biggest ski center - Bansko (57 km) and Borovets (83 km) and the closest resorts along the Aegean Sea is 185 km. Today Blagoevgrad is a modern and youthful city.
