Malyovitsa Hut

Hut " Maliovitsa " is located in the northwestern part of the Rila Mountains, near Mount " Maliovitsa ." Located at 1960 m altitude in the valley of the river " Maliovitsa ." Near the chalet has a ski - slope and ski - lift. The area offers good opportunities for mountaineering, hiking and children's camps.

The complex has 125 seats in two massive buildings and seven bungalows. The old building has two floors . It has outdoor bathrooms and a total capacity of 34 beds . The new building also has two floors . Rooms are eighteen in number of indoor toilets and bathrooms on each floor and a total capacity of over 70 seats. The bungalows are two-seaters without bathrooms. The hut is water and electricity . Hut " Maliovitsa " is installed local weather station that provides accurate information about weather conditions and short term forecast . The chalet offers discounts for children under 14 and people over 60 years

The starting point is the village of Govedartsi. The hotel " Maliovitsa ' and Educational Center " Maliovitsa " leads in Samokov and Govedartsi village and the resort is 26 km. from Samokov and 86 km . from Sofia. Morning and evening shuttle to the resort traveling from Samokov at 08:15 am and 16:15 afternoon.

It was built in 1934 as a mountain shelter " Maliovitsa " in Pernik tourist company " Golo Bardo ." The shelter was initially planned for the twenty-five people.

From the hut to Malyovitsa be reached in about 2.30 hours on an unmarked trail .
