Route CMS Maliovitsa - Ivan Vazo...

The starting point of the route is Central Mountain School " Maliovitsa " located 13 kilometers from the village of Samokov ( Municipality Samokov, District Sofia) where is accessed by paved road. By CMS assume a perfectly marked trail hut " Maliovitsa " , located less than an hour away .

Maliovishka part of Rila is one of the most beautiful and visited the highest Bulgarian mountain. Here you can enjoy the rare combination of raw rocky peaks , crystal lakes and bright green meadows. Organized and most dangerous and exciting alpine climbing in Bulgaria .

Hut " Maliovitsa " route continues along the bed of the eponymous river , climbing gently to the ridge leveled known as the First and Second terrace. From magnificent views of the cliffs edge Roosters located between Orlovets ( 2186 m altitude ) and Deer Peak ( 2654 m ) . Follow the winter mark that appears at the foot of Roosters and turns west , climbing to Elenino Lake, which is situated at the foot of Mount Maliovitsa ( 2729 m ) .

After the lake winter stake marking continues south and ridges reaching the main ridge between Deer Peak and Maliovitsa . In good time away in the low seen nestled Rila Monastery . Follow the ridge west and climb Malyovitza which offers spectacular views of the peak, near the hut " Fish Lake", hills Brichebor and Tsarevvrashki ) .

Began to descend on the western slope of Maliovitsa as the right of the lower leaves us Urdinite lakes. Soon we find ourselves in the saddle , which rise two small tips , known as Mramoretz . After another short descent brings us to another saddle , which is separated from the summer trail to the Rila Monastery. Hence we turn to Dodoff peak ( 2661 m ), which ascends his sharp eastern edge.

From the top of the route continues west. From the saddle before Vazov peak ( 2669 m ) we can take the left at the stake marking between hut " Ivan Vazov " and Rila Monastery in the hill Boucher . The route , however, is another option , so go forward and climb Vazov peak and then descend to the saddle tab .

From the hut is located due west (in case of bad weather and the inability to monitor the marking) , but under normal conditions should descend into Pazardere , first reach the powerhouse of the hut " Ivan Vazov " and shortly thereafter - and to herself. The route is quite long (6-7 hours) and requires good physical preparation. Is possible during the winter , but only for experienced mountaineers .
