City tourist route Klisura

This route is intended to acquaint visitors with the sights of one of the most beautiful Bulgarian cities - Klisura. The starting point is in the center and the first site to visit - Historical Museum ( square " April 20 " ) .

The building was built in 1926 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the outbreak of the April Uprising, which Klissura participate actively. The building is an architectural monument and houses a museum, including two main directions . The first incorporates an art gallery, lifestyle, livelihood and culture of the city in the Renaissance and the second presents the details of the participation of Klissura in the April Uprising .

The next stop on the route is Pavurdjievata house - the most impressive and famous monument of Renaissance architecture in a peaceful city. It is located next to the Historical Museum. Here can meet in details the lifestyle of the wealthy residents of Klisura during its heyday during the Renaissance. In the courtyard was restored home rose oil - at the time manufacturing and marketing of rose oil is one of the symbols of the city's prosperity .

The story of another site visit can shake the foundations souls of even the most hardhearted . This is the house of Ana Kozinarova or Tsata Kozinarova (located on the eponymous street ) which at the suppression of the April Uprising takes desperate decision to protect herself and her four children from desecration . Turkish threat to get in her home, she throws the first children and then herself in the well, and thus became one of the symbols of heroic intransigence. The building is located in the east, a few dozen meters from Pavurdjievata house .

Continuing south along " Anna Kozinarova " literally a minute we come to our next stop. It is also reminiscent of the times of feats and tragedy. This is the first house, restored after the pogroms during the suppression of the April Uprising - Chervenakova. Located on the " Marko Balabanov " and in it are met Russian troops liberated Klisura of January 10, 1878 . Southeast from here ( a few meters ) rises , built in the XVIII century old church, which bell announced the beginning of the uprising in Klisura on April 20, 1876 .

Tour of Klisura sites continues to the northeast , where the Evil Dol area where during the April Uprising Klissura cityzens organize their main defensive position. The second one is in the area Shaykovitsa where Borimechkata warn the population that will be tested cherry ball . This is the end point of the route.
