Bashliyski lakes represent a small lake group of four lakes located in the Pirin Mountains. They are of glacial origin and were formed in large circus Bashliyski between the peaks ( 2670 m ) Banderishki ( 2738 m ) Prevalski chukar ( 2605 m ) and Tipitsite . Four lakes belong to the basin of Sandanska Bistrica which is a tributary of the Struma River . Unfortunately have not been studied extensively and stay away from popular tourist attractions and mass in the Pirin Mountains. The total water area of the four lakes is relatively small - only 19.4 acres . The largest of them has an area of 7.8 hectares. Their depth does not reach more than a couple of meters. The highest of which is 2,461 meters above sea level, thus earning a place among the ten highest Pirin lakes. The remaining three Bashlisyki lakes are located respectively 2430, 2313 and 2291 m altitude. The lakes are drained by Bashliytsa River , which flows to the southwest. During the regeneration process have been renamed as Glavnishki lakes, but to this day the name has not been able to have and use among mountaineers . Option to get to this beautiful and less frequented wild part of Pirin is assuming unmarked trail from the hut Yane Sandanski and shelter Spano pole towards Vihren in Bashliyskata gate. You'll encounter untold mountain views with alpine flair . Near the lake is a few more beautiful places that are worth visiting : Banderishki lakes, Tevnoto Lake , Todorini eyes, Chairski lakes.
