Bayuvi dupki peak

Bayuvi Dupki is the seventh highest peak in Pirin Mountain. It is situated in its northern part , on the Marble hill. Marbles in Pirin , which occupy about 10% of its surface , the oldest rocks in the mountains. They are the group of metamorphic , ie secondary conversion , which is why they are the most solid . This explains why the marble peaks and ridges in the Pirin crumble slowest and therefore why today they are the highest Pirin parts. Dupki rises to 2,820 meters above sea level and is located on the ridge between the karst peaks Razlojki suhodol ( 2,715 m ) and the third highest in Pirin - Bansko suhodol ( 2,884 m ) .

Bayuvi Dupki has three distinct peaks . At the north is paid to the northeast karst rocky ridge Sredonos . Among the highlights main ridge narrows in places to 50 cm eastern slopes of the peak to the eponymous circus Dupki are steep and inaccessible. Western slopes are heavily slanted towards the valley of Vlahinska .

About half a mile southeast of the tip is positioned highest alpine shelter in Bulgaria - Koncheto. It is a wooden cabin with double walls, an inner room. Located at 2760 m altitude and its entire structure is secured against bad weather with steel strings on the rocks. In the shelter has 4 double and 2 single wooden bunk , and if necessary it can to sleep 10-15 people. No water and electricity, and no bathrooms. Literally harsh !

North of Bayuvi Dupki is located Kamenitishki saddle ridge . From the ridge leading to the shelter three paths. The most commonly used is marked in red and shortcuts Western slopes of Dupki . The second follows the main ridge along the very edge. Shortcuts third most northern peak and included in the second path. The last two tracks are not marked .

The most popular source objects to climb Mount Bayuvi Dupki are Bansko and Razlog . Routes often start from Vihren , Bunderitsa hut , hut Iavorov and shelter Koncheto . A few years ago a group of enthusiastic hikers from Razlog passed a 10-hour non-traditional route to transition in Pirin. The route starts from the hut Iavorov during peak Bayuvi Dupki , downhill before the shelter of the Koncheto in the circus Bayuvi Duki , through rock edge Sredonos and place Pogledetz and return Iavorov hut . This route is a real challenge for lovers of mountain trekking, he goes through the most difficult alpine part of Northern Pirin.
