Puppet Theatre - Plovdiv was founded in 1946 .

Repertory theater , financed by the Ministry of Culture and supported by the Municipality of Plovdiv and has been awarded "Cyril and Methodius" First Class . About 59 theatrical seasons until 2005 have been played over 290 titles. Annual realize 5 new productions , which are to be not less than 40 000 spectators .

The theater has traveled to over 40 countries and has participated in many international festivals and has won more than 80 prestigious awards . Six of the performances of the theater in " Golden Fund " of the Bulgarian National Television .
