Magura is one of the most beautiful caves in Bulgaria. It is located in northwestern Bulgaria near Rabisha village about 18 kilometers from the town of Belogradchik. Magura is one of the largest caves in Bulgaria - the total length of galleries and is 2.5 km. It consists of a main gallery, pointing southeast - northwest and three side branches. Individual rooms are enormous in size - a length of 200 meters, a width of more than 50 m and a height over 20 m. The largest inland lake in Bulgaria is located near the cave-Rabisha lake. It offers perfect conditions for surfing and swimming. Attractive site for hunting - waterfowl, fish - carp, silver carp, grass carp, catfish. The cave and its surroundings were declared a natural landmark. In one of the branches of the sparkling wines, because of ideal conditions for that much closer to those in the Champagne region. In the cave were found the bones of cave bear, cave hyena, and others. On the walls you can see pictures from different historical periods. The earliest paintings are from the late Paleolithic, and having the time of the Neolithic. The most recent are from the Bronze Age and were painted between 3000 to 1200 BC The paintings depict mostly hunting scenes. Next to the entrance of the cave there are a motel, restaurant, bungalows, but a tent on the lake is very relevant. There is an asphalt road to the cave.
