The length of this short and very easy route is about an hour and a half. It is suitable for tourists of all ages , for nature lovers with not-so- good physical condition for families with small children.
The starting point of "The sound of the surf " is Rezovo ( Tsarevo municipality , Burgas ) . It is the southernmost settlement in the territory of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. In the past (until the mid-nineties of the twentieth century ) access to Resovo was limited because of the border character. In the surroundings, there are traces of metallurgical activities ; Zguriite area , located about 5 km west , is the largest field of secondary residues from the extraction of metals in antiquity discovered on the territory of Bulgaria .
During the Ottoman rule in the Bulgarian lands Resovo is fairly large settlement , which, however, suffers from periodic attacks of the Caucasian Black Sea Pirates ( crawl ) . At that time it was moved a few miles inland. New village is experiencing difficult times during the Ilinden Uprising , when it was destroyed and looted .
Border situation Resovo cause the village to decline after the mid-twentieth century. In recent years, however long forced isolation has a very big plus for Resovo . Surrounding nature is preserved in excellent condition and is becoming a very attractive place for lovers of the last wild places along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
The route " The sound of the surf " headed north from Resovo following strongly in relief on the beach. The transition is very diverse , although seemingly a straightforward walk along the beach. In front of the tourists , decided to walk instead of spending all day at the beach or seaside restaurants, reveals an amazing variety of beautiful, secluded coves , rocky headlands and sun bathed beaches .
The distance from Rezovo the protected area " Silistar " part of the Natural Park "Strandja " is about 2 km away. " Silistar " one of the last nearly pristine places on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, representing stunningly beautiful beach , combined with dense forest .
As is the distance from " Silistar " to the beautiful bay Kastrich that offers a rare on the Black Sea coast privacy and intimate connection with nature. This can be considered the remains of the fortress . Returning to Rezovo going the other way , unless you're tired and you decide to return to the asphalt road .
