Ivan Vazov Hut and near sites

They say that Ivan Vazov chalet is one of the most difficult in Bulgaria, Rila it stands in the desert - the area Market gully (wood lice), the side of the main tourist trails. One route starts from Panichishte to Green Preslap in Seven Lakes and Sections - about 5 hours during the summer. Depending on the season the hut routes are different for sure which is the right one for you, call the lodge before planning the walk. Hut "Ivan Vazov" is one of the highest lodges not only in Bulgaria but on the Balkan Peninsula. The hut is still being repaired. There are indoor toilets, dining room and even a library. Besides renovated rooms, new is the room to relax, which will be ready soon. River front cabin is about one hundredth meters. Once the snow melts, the water is suitable for bathing, most appropriate in July and August.

You can make a trip to the top two twin Kalin 1 and 2. Even in summer you can still see the melting snow. From the top view covers almost all of the Rila Mountain, is visible even in the west across the border to the south - Pirin.

Another route starts from the dam Pastra Kalin, about 16 km stretch. The reservoir is connected to the reservoir "Karagyol" (Black Lake - in Turkish) to form interconnected vessels. The climb to the peak Kalin here takes 20 minutes. After 1 hour and 15 minutes walking will get to the hut "Ivan Vazov". The area of the lake "Kalin" is accessible by bike. Suitable place for paragliding.
