Veleka - protected area

Mouth of Veleka is the most picturesque spot on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. Protect the valley Veleka spit (about 500 m long) and part of the Black Sea coast. Mouth of the River Veleka was declared a protected area of 09/01/1992. It was announced in order to preserve the old oak-beech forests and the picturesque canyon of the river Veleka. Veleka is navigable 8 km from its mouth to the royal area well and this area is interesting for lovers of water tourism.

Protected areas of the river mouth Veleka and "Silistar” and are part of the complex of national importance" Veleka – Rezovska”.
