Only 15 minutes from Sofia is one of the least popular ski destinations in Bulgaria . Among the beech forest , where noise and commitments in the city are far you can go skiing and moving the body. Although not as popular as Vitosha, Lyulin mountain concentrates in itself interesting places and tourist attractions which can be surrounded and taken within one day. In the " Bonsovi meadows " , for example, has excellent conditions for winter sports. The place is located almost 1000 meters above sea level and is the hospitality of the local level . Here you will find shelter in the hut " Bonsovi meadows ." The hut is a single storey building with 16 seats , water and electricity , heated by stoves , a restaurant with a summer garden. In the ski area you can visit the monastery "St. St. Cyril and Methodius " in Gorna Banya and Vladaysko monastery" St. Petka " . Interesting and curious place in the Lyulin Mountain is also a soldier monument . It is located in the meadows above Gornobanski Panzer Division . Until it can be reached by a dirt road running from the area of 'ticks' in "Monastery meadows ." The monument has a drinking fountain . From the same place in the "Monastery meadows " leaves and steep path that 15 minutes to get to the Sofia- Pernik . Pass through the " black skew " but midway there faucets to which the dirt road that can lead to beautiful rocky area that each resident or guest of the capital is seen passing along the road coming from Pernik .
If you're an avid hiker , you can stop and the highest peak in the Lyulin Mountain - Dupevitsa ( 1256 m ) . To the top and to Dobrinova scale can be reached in about an hour and a half walk , starting from the colony Bonsovi meadows. From there begins the asphalt road that leads to the old military base located in the mountains. By 1997 it is acting and access to Dupevitsa peak , which is located within the site is limited. Today, the unit does not operate and walking on asphalt road , tourists can easily reach almost to the top.
