The high circumferential path Vi...

The high circumferential path ( HCP) in Vitosha takes about five hours and a half, climb between the lowest and its highest point is nearly 450 meters. It connects the other trails in the high mountains (between 1,700 and 2,000 meters) and is preferred by many tourists.

The starting point is the chalet "Ostritza" where the trail heads east through spruce forest . When it comes to road connecting rest homes "Trendafila" and "Zvezditsa" is taken right of it, then turns to the left branch and comes to hut "Edelweiss" . Shortly after it leads to the junction where the route continues straight to the hut "Kumata" . The route passes through forest, crosses the left tributaries of the river emerges Vladayska ridge where departing path for Golden Bridges.

Continue to the right, cross the river Vladayska and reaches the hut "Kumata" . Walk up the road on the right side of the river, which after ten minutes joins the paved road from the Golden Bridges. Soon reaches the site Boeritsa , where are huts "Boeritsa", "Planinarska pesen" and "Pine Forest" . In the complex path turn left , descends through spruce forest, cross stone river, passes fountain and reaches a junction where you continue right to the vacation home "Bor" . From here HCP takes us to the southeast and joins the other coming from the left to get to the stone shelter at Gyoreva fountain. We are moving through a forest until we reach to the open area at the pillar marking to hut "Aleko" . Continue on it and after climbing height is lowered into the saddle between the peaks Kamen Del ( 1862 m ) and Ushite ( 1906 m ) .

From this ridge go southeast horizontal plateau in the area . Overlooked deviations for Kikish area and Kominite. Begins to climb slightly and reaches the truck road to Black Peak ( 2290 m ) in which leads to the hut "Aleko ."

After that HCP continues east along the paved path crosses the path of the lift "Romanski - Malak Rezen" and soon reached the area Mecha meadow. From hut "Academic" (formerly " Fizkulturnik " ) route runs entirely in reserve "Bistrishko branishte." Overlooked several variations and recreation area to get to the stone river Golyama gramada.

The trail winds through rocky areas and meadows and reaches the marking pillar between hut "Academica" and Black peak. From here you can follow the posts or to continue the path. In both cases, leading to the hut, having previously passed through the panoramic ridge between the peaks Skoparnik ( 2226 m ) and Great Kupen ( 1930 m ).
