Archaeological museum Sozopol is situated in the old part of town. The museum is housed in the building of the temple "St. Cyril and Methodius ", and in several rooms provided by the cultural center of Sozopol. The museum boasts unique collections of rare Greek vessels from IV century BC, and a collection of 120 amphorae purposes.
The museum exhibits are structured in two directions - Archaeology / V millennium BC. - XVII century AD. / Christian art and / XVII-XIX century /.
In the Archaeological Museum can be seen Alebastro casket, which for centuries have been preserved the relics of St. John the Baptist, and a small box with an inscription in Greek, which tell the story of the relics to St. John Island.

The seal of the SIP is located in the museum which is open every day during the summer months from 8.00 to 17.00, while in winter: 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 17:00, with Closed Saturday and Sunday. Parable worth 10 lv
