Drama Theatre "Stoyan Buchvarov " is a cultural symbol of the city .

Created in 1921 by a decision of Varna Municipal Council as a municipal professional theater . It has one of the most beautiful theaters in the country , designed by architect Nikola Lazarov and finalized in 1932 , thanks to the voluntary assistance of Varna society that raises funds through stock marks.

Stock marks for the completion of the theater was added to each bread, every movie ticket , urban amusement for bath, for beach . In less than a month was collected 1 million BGN . And the governing body of the National Theatre building lend 2 million BGN . Upon completion of construction are made some changes : the scene is extended on both sides and deep arch. Dabko Dabkov . Construction was completed by the city architect Zhelyazko Bogdanov .

On 5 June 1932 , the building was inaugurated .

Drama Theatre "Stoyan Buchvarov " is a repertory theater . For nine decades, he led a successful dialogue with his audience , looking for new forms of theatrical language plays in the realization of both Bulgarian and foreign classics, and the modern drama.
