Nature Reserve Patleina

Patleina Nature Reserve is located in the northeastern part of Bulgaria , only about four kilometers from the town of Veliki Preslav. It is accessible by a well maintained road, and in many places are mounted directional guide signs. The park is quite large, covering about 38 hectares , and its territory there are several huts , open to visitors. Patleina officially declared a reserve in 1948 , the main aim is to preserve unity in our country habitat of the rare kind of wild locust . Medieval Bulgarian monastery in reserve Patleina is close and is part of a national archaeological reserve Veliki Preslav. The reserve is the cave Bear Hole and Ticha dam .
